Whitehorse Road & Poplar Street, Box Hill

close

Visually articulated into three distinct towers this mixed-use development comprises 338 residential apartments, hotel, and serviced apartments over thirty-five levels. The activated ground level gives retail and hospitality opportunities while offering the residences a sense of permanence and arrival through grand lobbies and a civic colonnade along Poplar Street.

Offering 5,000 square metres of net lettable area across fifteen levels, the commercial and office spaces have 180-degrees of natural light and views along Whitehorse Road. The highly considered landscaped podium and terraces act as an urban oasis accommodating social amenities for all the residences and guests.

High quality materials have been selected to refine the individual towers giving each element an elegant façade and a classically derived podium with a sophisticated material palette. This gives the building a sense of grandeur.

Davidson Street Port Douglas

close

A set of unique townhouses located in the central heart of Port Douglas surrounded by tropical natural landscape.

Based in traditional principles of design for tropical climates the layout is designed to maximise cross ventilation. All spaces are open to the outside and include large eaves that overhang to form rain shields to all habitable areas.

Ventilation and perforated sunscreens are major elements in the building facades. The East, West and Northern facades are extensively shaded. Each townhouse includes a ventilation shaft which connects through to a wind driven ventilator in the peak of the roof. The shaft is designed to continuously draw air through the dwelling.

The architecture articulates these environmental controls in the elevation and built form that responds to the tropical climate of Port Douglas.

Cole Street, Williamstown

close

Situated prominently in the designated heritage area of Williamstown. This project uses the principles of adaptive reuse of an existing building, retaining most of the structure and bricks. The extension adds a generous activated commercial space on ground level. The first level provides four penthouse styled apartments with landscaped terraces.

The form and material selections create an elegant contemporary building from the adaptive reuse of the existing building that will act as a neutral backdrop to the heritage surrounding context.
